Buying shares

To buy shares:

1. First, find a contest and outcome you want to trade on
2. Tap "Buy" on the outcome you wish to buy.
   • Note: the "Buy" price shown will reflect the "Offer", the price a seller is currently willing to accept for the share.
3. Decide if you want a Market Buy (selected by default) or switch to a Limit Buy
4. Decide if you want to buy in dollars (selected by default) or switch to shares
5. Enter a quantity of dollars or shares.
   • You will see a preview of your order's cost and potential profit in the "Place Order" button.
6. Tap the "Place Order" button.
   • You will then see a confirmation screen with a summary of your order.

Selling shares

To sell shares on an existing position:

1. First, find a contest and outcome you want to trade on, or navigate to your existing position from the Portfolio tab.
2. Tap "Sell" on the outcome you wish to sell.
   • Note: the "Sell" price shown will reflect the "Bid", the price a buyer is currently willing to pay for the share.
3. Decide if you want a Market Sell (selected by default) or switch to a Limit Sell
4. Decide if you want to buy in dollars (selected by default) or switch to shares
5. Enter a quantity of dollars or shares.
   • You will see a preview of your order's cost and potential profit in the "Place Order" button.
6. Tap the "Place Order" button.
   • You will then see a confirmation screen with a summary of your order.

Note: to sell shares you don't already hold a position on ("shorting") you must be in Advanced Trading mode. 

Referencing your placed orders

Once you have placed an Order, you can find it in "Orders & Trades":

1. Go to the Portfolio tab
2. Tap on "Orders & Trades"
   • If your order was filled, you can find it under "Trades"
   • If you placed an order that has not filled, you can find it under "Open Orders"
