Sporttrade allows you to view and trade markets using two different odds display modes: Percent Odds and American Odds. These modes control how prices are shown and, on iOS, how certain trading actions (like selling) are displayed.
Percent Odds Mode
Percent Odds Mode displays each outcome as a probability between 0% and 100%.
Example:
65% = the market estimates a 65% chance of the outcome winning
This is Sporttrade’s native pricing format and reflects real-time market probabilities based on supply and demand.
Additional iOS Features in Percent Odds Mode
On the iOS app, Percent Odds Mode can also display both Buy and Sell prices, if enabled.
To see the sell prices on iOS:
Percent Odds Mode must be ON
Display Sell Price must be toggled ON in Bet Preferences
When both are enabled:
You’ll see Buy and Sell prices on outcomes
You can sell an outcome without already holding shares (shorting)
If Display Sell Price is turned off, Sell prices will not appear — even in Percent Odds Mode.
American Odds Mode
American Odds Mode displays prices in a traditional sportsbook format (for example, -150 or +200).
This mode is designed for familiarity but does not change how the market works behind the scenes.
Important Limitations
American Odds Mode is display-only
It does not show a separate Sell price
Shorting is not available in this view
If you want to sell or short on iOS, you must switch back to Percent Odds Mode and enable Sell prices.
iOS App vs Web App Behavior
iOS App
Supports Percent Odds and American Odds
Can display Buy and Sell prices in Percent Odds Mode
Allows shorting when Sell Prices are enabled
Web App
Supports Percent Odds and American Odds
Does not display a Sell price
Does not support shorting as a separate action
On the web app, taking the opposite side of a market is done by buying the opposing outcome, which provides equivalent exposure.
Changing Your Odds Display and Preferences (iOS)
You can update your preferences at any time:
Account → Bet Preferences
Percent Odds or American Odds
Display Sell Price
Trade in Dollars or Shares
Display Liquidity
Changes apply immediately.
