Sporttrade is now available on the web! To trade from your MacBook or PC, we use Xpoint Verify, a small desktop app that confirms your physical location—required by state regulators.
Follow these simple steps to download, install, and get started with Xpoint Verify.
✅ Step 1: Download Xpoint Verify
1. Log in to Sporttrade Web
Go to https://platform.getsporttrade.com on your desktop browser (Chrome or Safari recommended).
2. You’ll Be Prompted to Download Xpoint Verify
When accessing the platform, a pop-up will appear instructing you to download Xpoint Verify.
3. Follow the On-Screen Instructions
Depending on your operating system:
macOS: You’ll receive a
.pkg
fileWindows: You’ll receive an
.exe
file
Download and install the file provided. Follow your system’s prompts to complete installation.
💾 Step 2: Install the App
For Mac Users:
- Open the downloaded
.pkg
file. - Click Continue, then Install.
- Authorize with Touch ID or your system password.

🔒 Step 3: Enable Location Permissions (macOS only)
- Open System Settings
- Navigate to Privacy & Security > Location Services
- Ensure Location Services is ON
- Scroll to Xpoint Verify and toggle it ON
If the app is not listed, make sure it’s installed and open. You may need to unlock the settings with your Mac password.

🪟 Windows Users: What to Know
- Open the
.exe
file and follow the prompts to install - Xpoint Verify typically has the location permission it needs by default
If you're not detected:
- Open Settings > Privacy > Location
- Make sure Location is ON
- Ensure Xpoint Verify or your browser has location access
🧭 Step 4: Let Xpoint Run in the Background
After installation:
- Open the Xpoint Verify app
- Leave it running while using Sporttrade
If the app is not running, your location cannot be verified, and you won’t be able to place trades.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Common Errors
❌ Error 4004: Missing Location Permissions
Occurs when macOS location access is not granted.

This means that not enough GPS or network signal is available to verify your location.
Try:
- Moving closer to a window
- Using a stronger Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection
- Ensuring no VPN or location-masking tools are running

🔁 Do I need to do this every time?
No. Once installed and permissions are granted:
- Xpoint Verify will auto-launch with your computer
- You’ll stay verified in the background while trading on Sporttrade Web
