Using Sporttrade on the Web (Xpoint Verify Setup Guide)
Sporttrade is now available on the web.
To trade from your MacBook or PC, you’ll need to install Xpoint Verify, a small desktop app that confirms your physical location, as required by state regulators.
Follow these steps to download, install, and get started.
Step 1: Download Xpoint Verify

Log in to Sporttrade Web
Visit platform.getsporttrade.com on your desktop browser.
Chrome or Safari is recommended. -
You’ll Be Prompted to Download Xpoint Verify
When accessing the platform, a pop-up will appear with instructions to download the app. -
Follow the On-Screen Instructions
Depending on your operating system:-
macOS: You’ll receive a
.pkgfile -
Windows: You’ll receive a
.exefile
Download and install the file provided, then follow your system’s prompts to complete installation.

Step 2: Install the App
For Mac Users:
- Open the downloaded
.pkgfile. - Click Continue, then Install.
- Authorize with Touch ID or your system password.
Step 3: Enable Location Permissions (macOS Only)
- Open System Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security → Location Services.
- Ensure Location Services is ON.
- Scroll to Xpoint Verify and toggle it ON.
If the app is not listed, make sure it’s installed and open. You may need to unlock settings using your Mac password.
Step 4: Windows Users
- Open the downloaded
.exefile and follow the prompts to install. - Xpoint Verify usually has the required location permissions by default.
- If your location isn’t detected:
- Open Settings → Privacy → Location.
- Ensure Location is ON.
- Confirm Xpoint Verify or your browser has location access.
Step 5: Let Xpoint Run in the Background
After installation:
- Open the Xpoint Verify app.
- Keep it running while using Sporttrade Web.
If the app is not active, your location cannot be verified, and you won’t be able to place trades.
Troubleshooting Common Errors
Error 4004 – Missing Location Permissions
Occurs when macOS location access is not granted.

Error 4000 – Inaccurate Location
Indicates insufficient GPS or network signal to verify your location.
Try the following:
- Move closer to a window.
- Use a stronger Wi-Fi or wired connection.
- Ensure no VPN or location-masking software is running.
Do I Need to Do This Every Time?
No. Once installed and permissions are granted:
- Xpoint Verify will auto-launch when you start your computer.
- You’ll remain verified in the background while trading on Sporttrade Web.
