This article explains why a Sporttrade account may be suspended, what it means, and what steps you can take next.
Why was my account suspended?
Sporttrade may suspend or restrict an account to protect customers and comply with regulatory requirements.
Suspensions can occur for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to:
• Activity that may violate Sporttrade’s Terms and Conditions
• Potential suspicious or unusual activity
• Multiple accounts associated with the same individual
• Use of an email address or phone number already associated with another Sporttrade account
• Incomplete or failed identity verification
• User-initiated cool-off periods
• State-mandated exclusions or self-exclusion programs
For security and regulatory reasons, we may not be able to share specific details about certain reviews.
If you believe your suspension was applied in error, please contact Sporttrade Support for review.
What are examples of security-related suspensions?
Accounts may be temporarily suspended if unusual or potentially risky activity is detected, such as:
• Multiple login attempts with an incorrect password
• Repeated failures to enter a valid multi-factor authentication (MFA) code
• Login attempts from different devices or locations within a short period of time
• Unusual deposit or withdrawal patterns
• Multiple failed deposit attempts in a short timeframe
These reviews are designed to protect both customers and the platform.
What is a cool-off period, and can it be canceled?
A cool-off period is a user-initiated restriction that temporarily prevents access to your account for a selected duration.
Once a cool-off period is set:
• It cannot be shortened or canceled
• Account access is restored only after the selected period ends
This feature supports responsible gaming and must run its full course.
What are state-mandated exclusions?
Sporttrade complies with all applicable state regulations and must suspend accounts associated with individuals listed on official exclusion or self-exclusion lists.
Examples include:
• New Jersey – Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) exclusion list
• Colorado – Division of Gaming self-exclusion requirements
• Arizona – State-managed confidential self-exclusion database
• Iowa – Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission voluntary self-exclusion program
• Virginia – Virginia Lottery self-exclusion program (2-year, 5-year, or lifetime options)
Virginia residents:
If you need assistance related to responsible gaming or self-exclusion, you may contact the
Virginia Problem Gambling Helpline at 888-532-3500.
If you are on a state-mandated exclusion list, Sporttrade is legally required to restrict your account.
