Protecting your Sporttrade account with Strong Authentication practices
Multi-factor authentication
We strongly encourage users to enable Multi-factor authentication (also known as Two-factor authentication or 2FA) to add an extra layer of security to your Sporttrade account. With Multi-factor authentication enabled, to log in to your account, you’ll be asked to provide a unique 6-digit code that will be sent via SMS to your phone. That way, no one can log into your account without having simultaneous access to your phone.
To enable Multi-factor authentication:
- In the Sporttrade app, navigate to Account
- Select Strong Authentication
- Enable Multi-factor authentication
- Confirm your mobile phone number, then select Text me the code
- Enter the code that was sent to your mobile device
- Multi-factor authentication is now enabled.
Email notifications for Log In
Enabling email notifications for log in will let you know if your account is being accessed by a third-party. We recommend that you enable these notifications in order to further secure your account from fraudulent activity.
Enable Email Notifications by:
- In the Sporttrade app, navigate to Account
- Select Strong Authentication
- Enable Email Notification on Log in
- Email Notifications on Log In is now enabled.
Using TouchID and FaceID
Users who are using Sporttrade on iOS devices may employ FaceID or TouchID to auto-fill your log-in credentials but we are prohibited by state laws to automatically log you into your account.
Your banking account details
Sporttrade has partnered with Trustly to facilitate secure and encrypted banking transactions between your bank and your Sporttrade account. When you deposit or withdraw funds to and from your Sporttrade account, no cards, bank account numbers, or banking passwords are seen or stored by Sporttrade.
