Location Verification and Geolocation Troubleshooting
Due to state regulations, Sporttrade must verify that you are physically located within a state where Sporttrade is licensed to operate before allowing wagering activity.
Your location information is used only to confirm that you are within state boundaries and for no other purpose.
Sporttrade partners with a licensed geolocation technology provider to ensure all wagering activity occurs within approved jurisdictions. To ensure accurate location verification, you must allow location services and, in some cases, complete additional verification steps.
How Location Verification Works
• Location verification is required by law before placing bets
• You may be asked to enable location services and Wi-Fi
• Android users accessing Sporttrade through the web app may be prompted to download the Xpoint Verify app to complete location verification
• Android users are encouraged to use the web app for the most reliable experience
Enabling Location Services on iOS (Apple)
To allow Sporttrade to verify your location on an iPhone or iPad:
• Open your device Settings
• Select Privacy and Location Services
• Locate Sporttrade in the app list
• Set location access to While Using the App or Always
• Ensure Precise Location is enabled
Enabling Location Services on Android
If accessing Sporttrade on Android using the web app:
• Ensure Location services are enabled in your device settings
• Confirm location permissions are enabled for the browser you are using
• When prompted, download and open the Xpoint Verify app to complete location verification
If accessing Sporttrade using the Android app:
• Ensure Location services are enabled in your device settings
• Confirm location permissions are enabled for the Sporttrade app
Troubleshooting Common Geolocation Issues
If you receive a location error or cannot complete verification, try the following steps:
Connect to Wi-Fi
Connecting to a local Wi-Fi network improves location accuracy and often resolves verification issues.
Disable VPNs, Proxies, or Remote Access Software
VPNs, proxies, and remote access tools can interfere with location checks and must be disabled.
Restart the App or Browser
Fully close and reopen the Sporttrade app or web app before retrying location verification.
Keep Your Device Updated
Ensure your device operating system and browser are up to date.
Reinstall Xpoint Verify (if prompted)
If Xpoint Verify does not complete the check, uninstalling and reinstalling the app may help.
